Senegal, officially the Republic of Senegal is a country south of the river Sngal in West Africa. Senegal is characterized by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, north by Mauritania, Mali, bounded to the east, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau to the south, and also surrounds Gambia on three sides that apart from the Atlantic Ocean.
